Comments | We got to the ticket window and we’re informed that we needed to make reservations (this is not required at other resorts), and on the Cannon website it is tricky. You have to go the Menu, and scroll down to Indy Pass. It is not under the typical day pass option, go to the main menu. When reserving your day, it gives you the two day option, redeeming both days means you have to use them consecutively. The bummer to Cannon’s system is they charge a $1.50 “processing fee†to complete your reservation. Lame. I am sending Indy an email to see what the deal is with this.
Anyway, the warmer overnight temps helped to set the day up for fun spring skiing. Having never been here before, I was excited to explore the mountain with my local and knowledgeable pal. The front five had seen decent melt and had some spots that were dirty, but never gritty. The summit triple was pretty busy if you got out of rhythm. The Saddle up to Mittersill was open, so we climbed up and over to ski down Baron’s and head back to the Peabody side. The chair was on and off running, but the T-bar was operating. Since we were working on maximizing the day, we skilled playing too long on Mittersill. It will be interesting to see how folks do with the masks as the weather warms up. At times it was warm enough under there to warrant a reason to pull it down when you weren’t riding. |
