Comments | Hardly any wind Monday, beautiful sunshine and fast snow. True Grit had race training on it, the course was closed to the public and four tracks wide, but you could ski on the natural side (better once it warmed up). Ciao and Gema were good fun, but also better once they had had some sun, they were pretty firm otherwise. The lower portion of the mountain had really good snow, the upper part was touchy in a couple places, but expected after the crazy high winds last week. High Country was open, and that's always a sweet spot for me. Snow up there was phenomenal. Green Peak was most likely better in the afternoon, with some hardpack on the trails. Clean Shaven was probably the best trail on that peak in the morning, and most likely because it was the last to be groomed.
Crowds were not bad, the opening line for White Peaks chair looked daunting but dissipated quickly. The ski tune shop is the bomb, they helped us out with an issue super fast. |
