Comments | A late start from car trouble got me there at 10:30, getting a spot in Row 15 of the main lot, which is nearly the last row. A long walk in ski boots but probably better than the shuttle from the outer lot. Far more crowded than I've ever encountered on a week day - average wait about ten minutes for both Minuteman and Polar Express. Worse than that, my pass card, which I'd used without a problem for the last few years there, worked twice on Minuteman but wouldn't work on Polar. I had my receipt on my cellphone but the attendant claimed she couldn't override their system and sent me to the ticket window, after I'd waited 10 minutes. After a short wait there, they told me they couldn't figure it out and gave me a new card. With that half hour lost, I only got in five runs. In hindsight, I should have insisted on extra time without charge. Too bad, as conditions were superb on all the trails I had a chance to ski, especially Challenger and 10th Mountain. |
