Comments | Powder day at Dartmouth! Both mountains were open and everything had about 5 inches of new powder on it. There were about four top to bottom runs open on Winslow and three on Holt's. Nothing was groomed because the snow had fallen after the groomer made its pass. Upper John Meck and Liftline Glades were open with all natural snow and they skied great. Temperatures were in the 30s and low 40s throughout the day and it was overcast in morning and afternoon, but very sunny mid-day. In the morning the mountain was relatively crowded with ski racers, but it was almost deserted in the afternoon. There was race training taking place on Thomas and Worden's, but the trails remained open to the general public. It was the perfect day to ski Dartmouth and the conditions were amazing, especially for this season. |
