Comments | Skied trails off of the Barker, White Cap, and Spruce Peak lifts today. The Locke Mountain lift was not running. No lines at any of the lifts that I skied on today. A couple inches of light fluffy snow fell after the trails were groomed. This provided for mostly soft turns today. Most of the main trails that I skied on were groomed overnight, but there were also plenty of ungroomed trails and natural snow trails to explore if one desired. White Heat looked a bit sketchy up top, so I skipped it. Downdraft was skied off in spots in the afternoon. Otherwise the snow was generally in good shape. Snowmaking was active below the Barker lift in the Flow State trail area. Also all lit up on Shockwave on White Cap. Also encountered some snow guns in a few other trail areas. Indoor dining was available. Also the indoor lodge areas and restrooms at Barker and White Cap Lodges were open to a much greater extent than they have been at Loon, which was nice. Weather: The temperature started out in the upper teens, and peaked in the mid twenties by the afternoon. Wind was not a factor today. | |
