Comments | After getting bored of waiting in line alone at Sunapee, I decided to drive over to Crotched after lunch. When I got there I tried to make a reservation but it said I couldn't because I already had a reservation at another mountain for that day. So I went into the lodge, and the employee canceled my Sunapee reservation and made me the Crotched one. I had heard online that if you cancel your reservation if you leave early that it penalizes you, but the woman at Crotched said this was not true, and you are good as long as the mountain scans your pass.
The mountain wasn't really busy at all this afternoon. There was a steady stream of people, but nowhere near busy, with the longest wait maybe being 3min.
Compared to Sunapee though, the snow was much worse. Very icy, very firm, and plenty of bare spots. Besides a few trails (Milky Way, Moon Walk, Satellite Summit, Pluto's Plunge, Galaxy, UFO and Supernova) the coverage was quite spotty. |
