Comments | Skied North Peak, South Peak, and the West Basin today. Overall snow conditions were well groomed, but were firm and fast. The wind was much lower today. Snowmaking has stopped on Walking Boss. The new snow is ok but needs another day or two of grooming to soften it up. Not really much else has changed since yesterday. South Peak trails were in good shape overall. Did not ski Ripsaw. Boom Run was a bit scraped off on the steeper part when I skied it. In the West Basin snowmaking was active in the trail confluence area near the base. Upper Rumrunner and Coolidge Street were closed for race training. Weather: Temperature started in the teens, and only warmed up to the low twenties. Full Sunshine all day. Mask enforcement was ongoing at the lift lines. Most people self complied, but there still were a few that needed to be reminded to mask up or cover their noses. Also security is patrolling the parking lots, I believe they are looking for alcohol consumption. The main parking lots filled up fast, and there definitely were a lot more people at the mountain than is typical for a non holiday Friday. However, I never waited very long in any lift lines. I did avoid the Gondola though. | |
