Comments | Ski buddy and I took advantage of the sunshine! Mostly whisper quiet trails, minimal chatter. Even Newfound Ridge was in great shape which to me is one of the first to ski off. New trails opened this past week are Upper Crewcut, and Ragged Glades. Upper Crewcut was ungroomed with only one spot where the brush and ice met. Ragged Glades were beautiful below the first pitch, some untouched snow and plenty soft enough. Only a couple rocks sticking out, slow and steady. Pines was thin, but enough to get back out into the main trails. We hit Flying Yankee six times through out the day, when we got bored with the six pack, and it was great. Only hit a few cat track patches toward the afternoon, wind was whipping up the hill anyway. Plenty of snowmaking going on Cardigan, they say it’ll be open by the weekend.
We never waited to load, and people were smart enough that the gates didn’t have to be manned. |
