Comments | Started out today on the Minuteman lift. We skied Ralph’s Run and Hitchcock trail from this lift. However, this lift had very long lines so we only made those two runs from it. Look Mom and Challenger trails were also open, but we did not ski them. Then we went over to the Polar Express lift. Lines averaged only a couple minutes over there for most of the morning. We skied 10’th Mountain, Conifer Connection, and the Salamander cutoff. Snow conditions were excellent considering the devastation that occurred on Friday. Trails were well groomed, with some recent snow making mixed in. There were hardly any icy spots to be found. Snow making was active on Smith Walton, that trail should open soon. Also snow making was active in the Vickery Bowl area. Weather was in the 20’s to start and stayed under freezing all morning. Full sunshine all morning. Wachusett has singles lines. They pair up two singles on opposite sides of the quad chairs, unless the person chooses to ride alone. Mask compliance was 100% as far as I could tell. Didn’t even hear anyone needing to be reminded to pull it up. Wachusett snow reporters put out a professional quality video each day on their website, and on YouTube. Even the larger mountains don't do that. | |
