Comments | Not as bad as a day as I thought it would be after the bad rainstorm last night! We arrived at our lodging last night at around 6 and it was still POURING, so I thought today was really going to be a disaster. Well, it wasn't quite as bad as I thought, as the mountain ops really did a nice job overnight!
Bear was "delayed" but never ended up opening, and Tightrope was closed today after being open earlier this week, both will reopen tomorrow. Attitash was the only side open today, and besides the Learning Center, the only lift open was the Summit Triple, and the only run open was Northwest Passage to Far Out. Mountain was absolutely empty in the morning, people started to arrive around 11, but there was never more than a minute wait for the triple. The first tracks were really nice, and the cord was actually nice and soft. For the first half of the day, there was actually some soft stuff to push around over the firm base. Later in the day though, the wind pretty much blew all of that off the mountain, so it was pretty much just all firm snow, but not quite ice. |
