Comments | Sunday River is blowing snow like theres no tomorrow, and at an incredible pace. With primary focus on North Peak and Jordan bowl, I'm predicting that both quads will definitely be open come this weekend, thanks to a little help from mother nature. Because of the low temps from last night, hard packed ice mixed in with some light powder made skiing a lot faster than normal. I think the highlight of my day was probably taking laps on the Tempest quad trying to see how fast I could go off the headwall. The app "Ski Tracks" timed my top speed at 65mph, while tucking it the whole way down. I really get a kick out of this, because half the time you're trying to stay focused on your control and speed, but the other half your looking left to see who is watching you while you do it. LOL! After about 4 attempts I realized that I could not go faster than the speed of sound and called it a day. Also if your interested, I put 2 POV's of me riding some chairlifts in-between runs.
