Comments | I skied there yesterday and today. Both days snow guns were blasting away on Conifer, Ralph's and Sundowner. Visibility was poor due to snow guns and freezing on your goggles and clothes. There are whalebacks randomly scattered. One section would be very hard pack and next section was several inches of powder. After a run or two you could find a half way descent line through the mess on any of the trails. No lift lines at all today. Today they were blowing on Challenger and looks like they were setting up to start blowing snow on tenth tonight. I suspect tomorrow (Wed) guns will be off on Conifer and Ralph's and those trails should be about full width and descent base. After sunday's storm it looks like there were a lot of folks who totally disregarded the closed trail sign for tenth as it was heavily skied. Reminded me of what it was like skiing back in the 50's and 60's, dirt, rocks, twigs and a little snow. It is unfortunate folks can't abide by the closed signs. Such behavior just ruins it for everyone else. |
