Comments | Wachusett was supposed to be closed this weekend. However, they announced yesterday that they would open today because of the new snow. Arrived at 7:45 and the parking lot was nearly full. Parked in row 12 towards the back of the main lot. Booted up and proceeded to walk to ticket window. For the past three weeks the website has not allowed day tickets to be reloaded online. You need to go to the window and get a new card. The line for tickets started at row 5 in the parking lot! Took over 30 minutes to get the new card. The Polar Express was not running until 9:00 due to icing. Huge line at the Minuteman lift all morning. Once the Polar Express opened the line stretched all the way to the Minuteman lift. Never saw such long lines before. Lodge was closed, but indoor bathrooms were available. Snow condition was mostly ungroomed powder. Bumps formed everywhere. Trails open were Ralphs Run, and Conifer Connection. Weather was sunny and pleasant. |
