Comments CommentsThere were 4 runs open today, so I may as well break down all the open terrain

Long John - skied nice in the morning, definitely the best conditions on the mountain, and held up the longest. Seemed to only have been partially groomed last night. Best coverage as well only started seeing grass at around 1 or 2

Cascade/Canyon - when I skied this at 8:30 am, I knew it was going to be trouble the rest of the day. Already slushy moguls at the top at 8:30 am. Clearly not groomed at all last night. Coverage was poor up top, a little better at the bottom. I didn't even dare ski thois after lunch.

River Run - the entrance was extremely patchy. Had good coverage on the rest of the trail, only trail not to get bumped up (because it is flat), only downside is you had to ski the worst part of Cascade to get there.

Free Fall - skied pretty nice in the mid-morning. Didn't ski it early enough to tell if it was groomed last night, but my guess would be no. Little icy at top, had some patches starting to open up near the bottom. Had some small bumps early on, but not bad, was bumped up once I skied it again after lunch.

Overall, the snow was pretty patchy, and I'm not really a moguls guy, so that part was kind of annoying. Still fun, but definitely hard on the legs. Skiing again tomorrow, but if it was anything like today, I'll probably only ski half the day.

No lines at North Face, the singles line was very short on Bluebird all day. Main line seemed to be maybe just over 5 min, during the height of the day, so definitely not as bad as it gets at Mount Snow. Started precipitating at 12:30 or so, and most people chose to leave then, so the lines got very short.

Almost everyone was wearing masks and following all the COVID guidelines. Those who were not wearing masks were immediatley called out by employees, so very nice job to them! As a single, they tended to pair me up with a group of 2 on the opposite side of the 6-pack, so I felt that that was plenty of space.
