Comments | Purchased the Spring Pass for Killington last week. Planned to go there today. But at 1:26 AM this morning they sent out an announcement that they are now closed (temporarily?). Luckily I checked my email this morning before driving there. Loon was still open today, so I went there instead.
The temperature was pleasant. The sky cleared early, and the sun was out in force for the rest of the day. The snow was firm, but well groomed. There was still plenty of snow coverage on the trails, and the skiing was good. But it was also bittersweet knowing that today was the last day of the ski season. I felt bad for all the staff that are now unexpectedly out of work, many of whom did not know it was coming.
We will get through this crisis as we have gotten through others in the past. Stay safe everyone. |
