Comments | It felt like late spring skiing today. Temperature was above freezing all day. Soft hero snow. The rain held off until the end of the day when there were a few sprinkles. The best skiing was on the steeper, upper elevation trails of North Peak; Flume, Walking Boss, and Sunset. The snow was soft and carvable hero snow. Was not slushy. Angel Street had a delayed opening, but had good coverage and skied nice. Big Dipper was ungroomed, and moguls as normal, but had thin coverage. Triple Trouble was closed. The West Basin still has good coverage on all trails, but was softer and sloppy near the base. Rumrunner, Coolidge Street, and Lower Northstar skied the best. Loon is still skiing well, but we need it to get and stay cold if this season is going to go the distance this year. | |
