Comments | Fun afternoon at Black Jacks on the final day of school vacations. Not terribly busy, and good conditions. The recent weather on Thursday brought them about a half a foot of snow, and had bonded nicely with existing conditions underneath. Natural ungroomed trails were still very manageable, just watching out for rocks here and there. Lost Bo was cool, had never skied that. Watched a young kid butt slide down the upper portion to avoid a rock and then made their way down on skis without issue. Funny. Trails over the Summit Double were all a blast. Nice trails, with character and a little more narrow than the norm. Good challenge. The easier trails by the triple were also fun, they still had plenty of coverage, and again not very busy. Stopped by the XC area on our way out, chatted with a few folks and looked at the trails. A really great area all around to get out and enjoy the day with a few less crowds. |
