Comments | Skied the trails off the North Peak and West Basin lifts today. Took one run up the gondola, it was running slow due to wind. Snow conditions were smooth groomed packed powder, with some loose granular snow. Conditions were conducive to fast skiing and carving. From the lift I saw many folks ripping down upper flume and launching on the bump at haul back trail onto lower flume. It was chilly and windy at the summit. Sunny all day. It only got busy at the North Peak for a couple runs around 9:30. The rest of the day it was not busy. The Governor Adams lodge was busy with racing and Special Olympics. Overall it was a nice day to be skiing.
Update: After returning home I learned the sad news that there was a fatal accident today on the Upper Speakeasy Trail.
