Comments | 95 of 97 trails were open. Temp was 21° to start, 30° at noon. Cloudy with a brisk wind made it feel colder than expected today. Skied trails off the Peabody and Cannonball lifts. The snow conditions were mostly firm and fast today. Lots of wind from the South blew the loose powder snow down the trails. Some areas where the snow collected were nice and soft, but mostly hardpack was encountered today. It was cloudy all morning and the lighting was mostly flat, making it harder to spot the icy sections from a distance. The Peabody Base Lodge was full. But lift lines never got longer than a couple of minutes, not bad at all for a holiday weekend. |
