Food and Beverage | Had the beef short rib poutine and a Dark & Stormy in the Black Diamond after last chair. DELICIOUS!!! A quick snack of chili topped with cheese was thick and warming. O'Brien's is serving gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup on the back deck for $10. |

Comments | This was the most packed I have ever seen Wachusett, and it's no wonder because the snow was AMAZING! After weeks of too-warm-to-make-snow weather, Mother Nature finally decided to gift us with 3 days of cold (YAY! make snow!) plus 5 inches of the fresh stuff. It was the first amazing day in awhile. Wachusett had to turn people away for the day session, it was so busy! Even still, the overworked employees were still cheerful, helpful, and amazing! I'm finally skiing a couple of blue trails. I have to learn to ski bumps. I seem to get "stuck" when mu skis find the deep stuff, but I have no problem in ice and crunch. There were lots of first timers and beginners tonight, so it took forever to get warm-up runs in on the green trails. The poor lift attendants did all they could to keep things running smoothly. It was a fun night. I really hope the weather stays cold and they can get more snow made. |
