Comments | We skied two runs based on the updates posted to Facebook. We were looking forward to going, I had never skied Tenney but hiked it. Tickets were $59, and although it is a given with the recent thaw that some trails could have dirt showing through, nothing was said at the window which could have been helpful. Line was reaching the parking lot for tickets, good amount of out of state plates. It had only snowed about 8-10" in most places. The new powder on the ungroomed trails at the top of the mountain was undeniably glorious, so much fun. As you moved down to steeps the rocks and dirt came through as well as puckah brush sticking through making it touch to turn at times. Still had fun moments, but became more cautious. Groomed trails were sweet on flat skis but don't turn too hard! The trail heading off the backside of the triple had a (great in summer time) wood bridge with hardly an inch of snow on it, and the sides were drainage so you needed to very slowly plow down it to avoid getting your edge caught. Also slippery. Another foot of snow and I would pay the $59, you wouldn't see me till lunch time. | |
