Comments | Wachusett survived the weekend warmth relatively well. I was expecting lots of thin cover, ice and very hard pack, since temps were in 20's sunday night but snow didn't set up hard so there was a lot of loose granular. There are some thin spots on the flats of Look Mom but that was all I saw on the 7 main trails I skied. Looks to be still a couple feet of cover at least on most of the trails. Was snowing lightly at the start but the snow changed to freezing mist after about 2 runs which made visibility poor. I had to clean my goggles 2-3 times a run. I called it a day after a couple hours due to the freezing mist. |
