Comments CommentsGreat to have this on the Indy Pass; left the crowds at Sunday River for the relative solitude here. Better snow too.

Looks like only Frostbite Falls to Boris from the Way Back Machine chairlift and Mahoosuc Meadow from the Skyline Chair had a manmade base prior to the snow storm (there was a good foot of powder). Looks like they're working on Sweeper to Dudley and Maybelle's currently (these were closed today).

Entire east side of the mountain was closed. Lower Fractured Fairy Tales (lift line) was open and in decent shape with powder bumps. Frostbite Falls was a little scratchy up high, but the rest of it/Boris was in decent shape. Everything else from the top was ungroomed - Snowfields, Easy Rider, Snake (thin near the bottom), and Bullwinkle (getting thin near Taylor's Treat). Lower Easy Rider was good where wide, but getting pretty beat up near the narrow bottom (especially the waterbars) and probably won't make it much longer without more snow. Rarely a wait from the Way Back Machine double.

Skyline Chair had lines a few minutes long. Apart from Mahoosuc, Hay Road was also groomed (natural) and in good shape. Sky Line Drive was fine too, though one had to watch out for the mountain bike berms underneath. The lift line was also decent, though the waterbars were still an issue.

Unfortunate to see the trails they had cut a few years ago seemingly abandoned (never graded) and now growing back in.

Though the sun mostly stayed in the clouds, it was a nice afternoon. There's a similar variety of terrain, similar vertical per run, similar lift speeds, yet less crowds here than at Sunday River.
