Food and Beverage | Got a half order of nachos at the Black Diamond, and it was AWESOME!!! (Don't order the full size nachos unless you've got 4 people to share them- it's HUGE!) Our favorite bartender, Miranda, made us delicious Dark and Stormy's with a twist of lime. |

Comments | Horrible. I have no idea how the grooming staff even made it possible to ski given the horribly warm (near 50 degree) weather this week. A lot of base was lost because Mother Nature is playing a nasty joke on New England right now. Wachusett doesn't even need snow, what we need is COLD!!! This is the very first time I have ever thought about using the word 'awful' to describe conditions at Wachusett. It just wasn't fun tonight, and Mother Nature needs to step it up and turn on the freezer so they can fire up the snow guns. I'm praying that we get back to real winter soon, because I love this mountain and I'm ready to send it. I got knocked down hard early on in the night by a trio of ignorant teenagers on rental equipment that decided it was OK to snowplow down the trail red rover style by making a human chain connected by ski poles. They laughed when they plowed me over, only to fall in a heap laughing a few hundred feet later. I have a wonderful bruise on my right rear end and hip, and my left knee is rather out of sorts. Stupid kids will be stupid kids. I called it a night, limped back to the lodge, and the wonderful cafeteria staff gave me a bag of ice for my knee. The whole staff is AWESOME!!!!! IT IS NOT THE STAFF'S FAULT THAT TONIGHT SUCKED! WE NEED COLD WEATHER! EVERYONE DO A SNOW DANCE PLEASE!!!! |
