Comments | 6 of the 8 lifts were running. 24 of 27 trails were open. Temp was 26° at opening, and warmed up to 36° by noon. The sky was mostly clear all day. Very comfortable day for skiing. Crowds were unusually thin at the lifts and on the slopes today by Wachusett weekend/holiday standards. Thanks to the Patriots for keeping folks glued to their TV sets, and off the slopes today! Almost all the trails are open now. Only Ropers Road, and the Mass Pike were closed. All open trails were groomed out nicely, and skied well all day. Lower Smith Walton was closed until 10 for race training. |
