Comments | Figured the $30 afternoon ticket was worth a few runs on the way home from Catamount and chose correctly. Though small, this is a fun, old-fashioned ski area. Four covered ways down from the top, with a fifth natural that was spotty by skiable. Manmade trails were all in excellent shape - no ice, no choppy conditions, just smooth cruising snow. Slalom was in good shape and just about wall to wall. Nice steep pitch. Unfortunately, my favorite trails (Ridge Run and Dutchman) don't have enough snow on them yet, so they were closed. Knox was in great shape, wall to wall. Robber Oak was decent, hugging the right of Bob's Bowl. Bob's Bowl had enough natural remaining that one could get across it with caution. Acorn was in good shape. Both novice slopes/tows were open and good. There was usually a couple minute wait for the double chairlift, but not a contentious line by any means. Friendly folks. | |
