Comments | Such a treat. Probably about 30 people when we arrived after lunch, and great snow. The wind was much less than it was at Killington, which made it feel a lot warmer. If we hadn't had plans we probably could have played a little longer.
A little firm higher up, but there was actually still skiable powder and natural around. Forty Niner had snow making going on which was a little hit or miss. Silky here, sticky there. Snowmaking also going on along Pike, fun riding through that on the chair lift, but brief. Golden Express was running, only a few trails off the left of the lift were open, but in good shape. B Slope and Bushwhacker were the only trails open off the Little Pico chair, Bushwhacker had some spots that looked shallow where dirt had mixed in while grooming, and some rock on the side. C Slope was not roped off and had some tracks, but looked boney so we opted to skip it this trip. |
