Comments | Although warm, it was a great day of skiing at King Pine! Temperatures were in the 30s & 40s and the snow softened up near the end of the day, but the coverage was great in most places. Everything was open except for the two glades and Pitch Pine was left ungroomed. The main lodge was crowded and Milt's was also crowded part of the day because of a skating event, but lifelines were never long and were often ski-on. The backside was much less crowded than the front. The bumps on Pitch Pine weren't icy at all, but also never got too soft and were perfect for most of the day. Sections of White Pine and Pine Brule were also left ungroomed. It was the best day of the season yet and I hope the season has at least a few more days like it left for us! After skiing I visited Madison Boulder which is just up the road. |
