Comments | My first time skiing in June. Super crowded to start, but crowds thinned out pretty quickly. Opening was delayed by about half an hour. The lift line zigzagged well up the slope to start. Once operating, they handed out tee shirts to the first few hundred folks. The initial headwall already had rocks mixed in during first run and was quite a chokepoint with dozens of people arriving every minute. Below the headwall, the trail had generally good base depths and was still fairly wide. A little thin in spots/a few rocks mixed in just before the final pitch. Apart from that, the snow itself was pretty good. The trail was very busy with folks almost bumping into you many times. Due to the crowds and the rocky top headwall, I took a couple of runs then called it a day skiing wise. Crowds looked a lot more manageable later in the morning with the lift being ski-on, but I suspect people had to walk the headwall. Pretty neat to ski in New England in June. | |
