Comments | We're quickly running out of places to ski here in the Northeast, but I was able to make it up to Sugarloaf for closing weekend. Only the SuperQuad was running, but the majority of trails off it were open. Some of these trails had sketchy cover, and some had walking required. I am usually a fan of keeping trails open as long as possible, but I think Sugarloaf went a bit too far. Glancer had 4 or 5 sections of walking (some quite long), and at one point I was skiing a thin strip of snow over a stream (which collapsed underneath me once). The snow was soft spring snow all day and was quite fun. The top was in clouds most of the day, and I left in the afternoon when it started raining. It was a great day, although it may be my second-to-last day of lift-served skiing this season. |
