Comments | What a day! Full coverage, with spring conditions for the afternoon. Amazing considering at least three major areas had their final weekend last Sunday, with a couple more including Waterville closing after this weekend. High Country was open, first ride for me this year on the brand new T-Bar. Both upper and lower lifties were awesome! Chatty and efficient. All HC trails were great, they left some natural by Treeline and between Ruthie's and Hassle. Main Mountain was in fantastic shape. Oblivion was different each run, but still phenomenal throughout the day. Tippy/Tyler was good, and running into Boneyard was great - skier's right is natural, left was groomed and awesome. Utter Abandon and World Cup had super nice snow all day. Gema and Ciao were natural, and amazing in the afternoon. True Grit was rumored to be a zinger in the morning for first runs, and was still great when we got to it around lunchtime, still good but a bit bumped up at the end of the day. No Grit in the later part of the day was fun, with spring snow. Green Peak had good conditions. Governor's Run was nice. Chandler's Way was good in the afternoon, and where shade had been was set up for sure. Friends had skied under the lift line, and the verdict came back as sweet natural powder with a couple spots of boiler plate. Piano Man was natural and fun. Clean Shaven was firm when we hit it in the afternoon but was still wall to wall. Wayne Wong Way was closed. | |
