Comments | Nice afternoon of spring skiing under blue skies at Ragged. All of the trails on Spear Mountain were open. Good coverage on Showboat and Flying Yankee and still decent coverage on Cardigan/Turnpike (a few thin spots showing). Plenty of corduroy on Barnyard, even toward the end of the day. I didn't go into the glades between the peaks, but at least a few were still open with good coverage visible. On the main mountain, the roped trails were upper Cabin Fever, Twister, Raggedy Ann, and upper Sweepstakes. Upper Easy Winder is starting to get thin in places, but still decent coverage on Lower Easy Winder. Good coverage on Mikey's Run. Big Rock had some bare spots showing, but was skiable. Lower Cabin Fever was fine. Blueberry Patch was fine (but soft/sticky in the sun), but Headwall had a couple of rocks showing. Sunnyside is on its last legs. Crewcuts skied nicely. Lower Ridge, Raggae Glades, Wild Side, Lower Chute, Main Street, and Exhibition all had good coverage. Upper Sweepstakes was roped, but Lower Sweepstakes still had good coverage (though there were a few ice patches and bare spots). Birches skied really nicely. | |
