Comments | There were only about 15 skiers all day at Tenney. It was a warm spring day, and everything was skiable. There are a few bare spots and rocks starting to show through, but cover is still generally good. A lot has changed since I visited a year ago. Trails are wider now, and almost every trail has been reopened, with a few exceptions. More glades have also been cleared, but most are still overgrown. The trails there are very unique with interesting contours, unlike the bulldozed boulevards, which are becoming more and more common. There are only a few trails which are very challenging, but it is a fun mountain for cruising, with the occasional challenge here and there. I would compare it to being a larger version of Black Mountain, NH, and I highly recommend it, if you get the chance to ski there. |
