Comments | A wonderful day of skiing at the Skiway in good conditions. Snow fell throughout the morning (tapered off in the afternoon), coating all runs with a few inches of delicious powder. Wind gusts had scoured the new snow off in spots on the usually reliable Worden run on the Holt side, but Green Pastures, down lower, had fantastic, totally untracked snow. The three of us cut tracks in the virgin powder with happy amazement. But as much as I loved skiing the powder (and chasing rocket21) on run after run, the run of the day for me -- tough choice -- was Lower Gauntlet with its short but steep drop about halfway down the run. However, the run of the day could just as easily have been T-Line, with its beautiful snow and tree-lined route. Or Green Pastures. Or Lower Thomas. Or Race Finish. A great day with Jeremy and Bria at the Skiway, which dollar for dollar offers some of the best bang for the buck in New Hampshire. | |
