Comments CommentsAwesome morning at Black. Everything except for the J-Bar area (no Js on the lift) was open and with good base. Never a line for any of the lifts. Throwback feel with friendly employees.

About an inch or two of powder from late in the week on top of the crust from earlier in the week, but the groomers skied really well.

Maple Slalom and Black Beauty were groomed off the top and in good shape. Lost Bo was good, and Galloping Goose was decent, albeit with a few rocks showing through.

Bob-A-Link and Big Dipper skied nicely, though Speedwell was icy. Maple Slalom and Jackson Standard had nice hero cord. Rollercoaster was ungroomed, but skiable. The cruisers on the east side were all skiing nicely; great old school trails.

Rode the double all morning, as it covers the entire mountain and is faster than the triple.
