Comments | Great overnight snow. NH vacation is definitely out, there were plenty of kids and parents, but still not overwhelmingly crowded like other areas can be. Most trail were in great shape, some had seen more action albeit wind or people. All terrain parks had fantastic snow, especially Wild Side/Ride. Lower Chutes with the curved banks was great. Crew Cut in its entirety was good with dedicated edges and caution. Birches was absolutely perfect. Flying Yankee and Cardigan were great without being over crowded. Took a couple runs in the Barnyard, and through the barn. Good slow skiing there. Showboat had race training on it for most of the day, and it had been scraped down pretty good on all counts due to it still being open to the public. Headwall had also been scraped down pretty good, but like Crew Cut if you committed to laying an edge in and didn't fight the speed too hard you were fine. Twister was open, but natural and a bit naked in some spots. Caution will save your skis, and don't trust the little kids that have no fear. Sunnyside was natural with thin cover but finally open. Looked like the connector to Big Rock and Easy Winder was open but didn't realize it while I was there that that was what it was. Sweepstake was roped off boooo. | |
