Comments | 86 of 86 20 of 20 lifts.We were just headed up the Tumbleweed when it lost power. It was around 3:15pm or so. It didn’t take too long for them to switch to diesel perhaps 15 minutes and they ran it off and shut it down.The Seasons chair right next to it was still operating. Looking up the hill I saw 4-5 brilliant white/blue flashes and a big puff of smoke coming from the area of compressor farm and transformers. I informed the mountain ops guy who was up on the lift running the diesel. The GS was closed and we assumed that they were running off the Bluebird. We took the Seasons for a run or two until they closed it at 4. When we got back to the base the BB was still open so we got in line around 4:20. It made for a pretty uncrowded last run with the setting sun. No mention of power issues in Sunday’s report |
