Comments | What a gorgeous day with amazing conditions. Crowds were very minimal for a Sunday after all that snow! There was a race so they closed Warren's Way, and were training on McHarg's Cutoff. They finally opened it around 3:00, and it wasn't rutted up too badly, still plenty to edge into. All groomed trails in the morning were great, only Willoughby and Dipper were more firm in the afternoon but still edgeable with care. Took a few runs on ungroomed trails, Dipper Doodle was fun, and I tested my luck on Doug's Drop. Some ungroomed trails were showing rocks, so unless you don't love your skis, caution on speed is recommended. Liftline was fun up top, more moguls past the third Deer Run crossing.
Deer Run was a fun cruiser, stayed nice all day. There was snow making going on down by the Sherburne Express. Still some powder off the J-Bar, fun to play around in.
Great day, even in the cold it was easy to ski the day. |
