Comments | Cold, but sunny morning. Saw two other skiers all morning. Half day pricing apparently is only going to be available for afternoon skiing, but they sold me a half day morning because they're still getting things up to speed. $55 midweek half day ($65 midweek full day). Pretty much everything between Morning Glory and Trillium had a grooming pass down it (including experts Sunflower and Shooting Star). Some unmarked natural obstacles (waterbars, rocks, saplings), but generally excellent natural packed powder conditions. I took a run down upper Morning Glory (not groomed) and struggled, as the powder is a foot deep and dense from the wind (but not wet). I clocked the lift ride at about 15 minutes. Chilly, but fortunately sunny. Still some overgrown areas, but a lot more cleared than last year. Forget-Me-Not and Snap Dragon were closed, as was the Pomalift area and the trails under the Eclipse lift. The latter was running this morning, but not open to the public (but apparently could be tomorrow). No beginner terrain available. | |
