Comments | There were 60 of 61 trails open today. About 6"-8" of thick, heavy snow was on the trails by opening time. It continued to snow all day. By 2:00 PM Loon reported 14" at the summit and 8" at the base. Skied Upper and Lower Picked Rock, Blue Ox, Rampasture, Rumrunner, Lower Speakeasy, Lower Bear Claw, and the Seven Brothers trails. It was a lot of work. The temperature was close to freezing and the snow was melting on my clothes, and the chairlift seats were snow covered. The lifties did their best to clean them but they couldn't really keep up. Only skied for about two hours and called it quits. When all this snow is groomed in tonight I think tomorrow will be a really good day to ski. Unfortunately I will be back at work tomorrow 😞. |
