Comments CommentsRough conditions, but nice to get half a dozen runs in for $18. One top to bottom run open plus the Magic Carpet/rope tow slope.
The initial run from the top of the chairlift was very thin and narrow with grass poking through. Dorsal was mostly blue ice and hard pack. The short Rib Cage portion had decent loose granular conditions. The connection to Scrimshaw had a long dark spot and the narrow entrance was tough with beginners coming through. Scrimshaw was maybe 1/3 wide with some rocks. Looks like more snowmaking will be needed on this top to bottom run before work can begin on any other trails.
Apart from some Kimball racers and an elementary school group before dark, very few skiers out and about.
