Comments | Today was one of Titcomb's earliest openings ever, if not the earliest. T-Bar 2 and the Pony Tow opened at 1:00, serving 3 officially open groomed runs on natural snow. A few other trails were not officially open, but were skiable and not roped off. Cover was generally good, with some thin spots showing through. There was a sizable crowd, which created a short line for the T-bar at times. Around 3:00, the clutch cable on the T-bar snapped, which shut the lift down. As of 3:40, when I left, the lift was still down and they didn't know how long it would take to fix. Although a rough start, it was good to get the crowd out there, and to get issues ironed out before the season kicks into full gear. |
