Comments | Huge turnout at Loon today. The parking lots were full. The line at the Gondola backed up very early. The North Peak quad lift line moved quickly until about 10 AM, then it backed up onto the trail as well. On the North Peak Upper and Lower Walking Boss, Haulback, and Cant Dog opened today. In the West Basin area Rampasture and Blue Ox opened today, but were roped off at the bottom to lead traffic back to the Picked Rock trail to gondola. Conditions this morning were like mid Winter, firm and fast. All open trails were groomed. The mountain is probably in the best condition ever for Thanksgiving. That's probably why it was so crowded. I left at 12:30. If the lift lines were not so long I would have stayed longer. |
