Comments | Loon Mountain opened for the season yesterday. Open lifts today were the Gondola, Seven Brothers Triple, and the East Basin Double. From the gondola one could ski down Exodus or Bear Claw Extension to Upper Bear Claw to Grand Junction. From Grand Junction you could choose the Link to the East Basin Double, or ski down Lower Bear Claw or the Seven Brothers trail back to the gondola at the Octagan Lodge. The snow surface was soft, and the open trails had good coverage. The weather was cloudy with mild temperatures just above freezing. The group line at the gondola had about a five minute wait, but the singles line never had more than a minute wait. All in all it was a good day. |
