Comments CommentsAlmost didn't go to Sugarbush - the link to buy tickets from their web site was broken and when you went through their online store, the day passes section wasn't working. Ended up getting a $42 ticket on Liftopia. This did not include the $5 RFID pass, which is *not* refundable.

Basically three trails open from the Valley House Quad. Snowball and Lower Snowball had a couple of chokepoints that were one cat wide and a bit tricky as crowds built. Racer's Edge had some jumps and remains of a half pipe and quarter pipe. Spring Fling had pretty cover and was generally about 2/3rds wide. Spring Road was also open, allowing one to bail on Lower Snowball over to Spring Fling to avoid the park.

Stein's was, apart from a couple of avoidable bare spots up high, wall to wall with good coverage. Nice steep spring trail, groomed to keep things in shape. The Coffee Run runout still has a foot or two of base, but was grabby.

Generally a minute or two wait for the lift prior to 11. Lines were starting to increase at that point, and the snow was getting heavier. Called it quits after 10 runs. Partly sunny to start with more blue sky as the day progressed.
