Comments CommentsWas expecting to get wet today, but lucked out precip-wise. Rained all the way up until I crossed over the Maine border, then there wasn't so much as a drop until about 2 PM. Ghost town.

Initially very nice spring conditions on the first to runs on White Heat. A few random barespots, but otherwise good coverage. Soon thereafter, the winds picked up a bit, some blue sky broke through, and the temperatures dropped.

Jordan and Aurora never softened up and were thusly boilerplate. Got to ski Quantum Leap for the first time, as it had been groomed in the past few days (but not overnight). Some carnage starting to show on Rogue Angel, lower Lollapalooza, and the top and bottom of Air Glow. Otherwise generally decent coverage for this peaks, even though they close for the season tomorrow. Oz Quad was not running and only Tin Woodsman was open (didn't look too appealing in today's conditions).

North Peak/South Ridge was the only place that wasn't a ghost town today, as folks were there for a slush jump. Grand Rapids is pretty beat up. Other trails were spring snow or piles of loose granular. Ridge Run is a little dangerous, as downed trees from a storm are emerging from the snowpack.

Spruce Peak was pretty bad, as the top was bulletproof and the bottom was large piles of granular and bare spots.

Barker also had lots of boilerplate. The top of Locke was inaccessible, as the triple was not running. T2 wasn't quite as bulletproof as the Barker trails I skied.

Rounded up the day on the lower White Cap Trails. Little Whitecap was decent. On the other side, Tempest is on its last legs.
