Comments CommentsTricky weather and conditions today, but virtually every lift was ski-on.

Snow squall to start the day, dropping about half an inch of powder (which melted quickly when the sun came out).

The Bear Mountain and Skyeship sides of Skye Peak were pretty soft to begin with, so things became choppy rather quickly. The Superstar side was more of a granular and golfball consistency with some nasty boilerplate underneath that never softened. Superstar glacier is deep, but the crown of it doesn't appear to be as tall as I've seen in past years. The conditions report is absolutely bogus, in that it states Outer Limits and Ovation are groomed - not at all the case. Both were bumps and closed (I think Outer Limits may have opened briefly at the very end of the day). Needle's Eye was running, so that made skiing that and the Northbrook stuff much easier. Devil's Fiddle was closed and looks to be toast.

Did not venture down to the bottom of Skyeship today. Last day of the season for it, but didn't want to deal with the choppy spring snow on the long flats.

Canyon Quad was running, despite there only being two open trails to it. Cascade was rather icy and thus had few visitors. East Fall was nice later in the morning when the sun was hitting it, but downright nasty later in the afternoon (frozen granular, blue ice, and granular moguls). Still coverage on Downdraft and Double Dipper (though there were two dirt lines showing), but all bumps and thus closed today.

North Ridge never softened up and thus was scratchy frozen granular.

Snowdon was nice in the morning, but the lower half was pretty choppy in the afternoon. Both chairs running, but not the Poma (looks like they're starting to dismantle it). Poma would have been great this afternoon to stay on the less choppy terrain. Highline was awesome in the morning, but choppy in the afternoon. Frolic was good, but the natural trails off it were all closed, even though they appeared to be softening up.

Everything on Rams Head was open with wall to wall coverage. Not too choppy and perhaps the busiest trails/chairlift of the day.
