Comments | Nice early spring evening at Wachusett. The snow had never warmed enough to become spring snow nor did it set up firm in the early evening. Despite the extended daylight, none of the day-only trails were open this evening. Also disappointing to find out that you need to buy a second ticket in order to ride the Vickery chairlift and ski the two trails off it. The Monadnock complex had a few thin spots, but was otherwise wall to wall coverage. The upper level summit trails were in good shape, especially after the evening groom. Conifer, on the other hand, was a bit scraped. Probably the best conditions were off the Minuteman Quad. Challenger in particular skied nicely. Longest lift line was maybe 3 chairs. RFID working smoothly. Did note numerous lights out on the hill, though it was still pretty well illuminated. | |
