Comments | I had low expectations given the wind and the cold. Tram was on wind hold for at least part of the afternoon. On my way back from the Gulf of Slides Ski trail decided to see what it was like on Cannon. Was pleasantly surprised. Lower mountain quite blown off but top of mountain held really good snow - almost all packed power to skiers right of the upper lift. Upper Cannon was also excellent. I rode cautiously, not sure what to expect. Views amazing as usual and bright sun under wind-blown snow was quite stunning. Quite brisk - felt mid-winter-ish with all the frozen global warming floating around. |
