Comments | Disappointing conditions; appears Campton may have been in a snow shadow for the last two storms. It also appears the wind blew away a lot of the powder. Had they rolled it out after the snow stopped, conditions would have been much better.
Lazy Eights was fine, apart from a thin spot near the top. The expert trail was closed, as the top of it had been blown down to bare ground. Glide Path was open, but not great...some untracked powder under the lift, however the trail also had a lot of rocks (could see the sparks from the skis from the lift), patches of dirt on the top, and two consecutive lights out.
Last two visits have been disappointing, which is magnified by the increased ticket price this season. Probably won't be back this season (what's left of it) unless they get a foot of new snow. Hopefully next season will be better, as it's otherwise a good after work spot. |
